Barbara Emerson Cabral, age 72, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 25, 2022, at Southeast Memorial Hospital in Houston, Texas. Barbara was born on December 26, 1949, in Gardiner, Maine.  She moved to Falmouth MA when she was five and spent the majority of her life there while working at Stop & Shop and later Falmouth Bank. She was an active participant in her children's school functions, and also volunteered at St. Anthony's Church in Falmouth, MA.  Sixteen years ago, she and her husband moved to Alvin,TX to be closer to their grandchildren. Barbara is preceded in death by her parents Lawrence and Pauline Ware; Sister Norma Donahoe.

Barbara is survived by her husband, Robert Cabral, daughters, Jennifer Vogelgesang and husband Kaz, Heather Loop and husband Justin; sisters Selma Souza, Theresia Macarthy, Elaine Dowaliby, Christy Woollacott, and Cindy Gunn; brothers Lawrence Ware, Frederick Ware, Schwinn Ware; and six grandchildren Zander, Cade, Lyla, Gianna, Adeline, and Xavier.

Barbara was a selfless person and loved her family dearly.  She enjoyed camping with her family all around the United States.  Barbara spent her free time on various craft projects such as sewing, cross-stitch and knitting. She had a beautiful smile and contagious laugh.  Barbara was a loving mother and remarkable cook.  She enjoyed preparing meals and hosting parties for her extended family.

House Calls Home Health especially Consuelo Guerra; health aid and friend, Debbie of Harbor Hospice, Tim the Spiritual Counselor of Harbor Hospice, all of the Visiting Nurses and CNAs, Amada Senior Care in Houston, Alvin EMTs, all of the Medical Staff at Memorial Herman Southeast for their exceptional care, and Rosita Geishecker a close lifelong friend from Mashpee, MA.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations made to the American Heart Association in memory of Barbara.

A Visitation will be held from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, August 2, 2022 at Scott Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Wednesday, August 3, 2022 at 10:00 AM at St. Helens Catholic Church in Pearland, Texas.  Interment will follow in the Confederate Cemetery in Alvin, Texas.
