Armando Barrera Jr., age 48 of Alvin, Texas, passed away Wednesday, January 22, 2025. Armando was born December 17, 1976 in Falfurrias, Texas and has been a lifetime resident of the Alvin community. Armando enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He had a love for grilling, and a passion for teaching and coaching softball for many years. He enjoyed attending the Houston Astro games and of course watching Americas favorite team Dallas Cowboys. He enjoyed listening to good music. Though his greatest joy was seeing and spending time with his 3 greatest treasures, his granddaughters. Armando is preceded in death by his father Armando Barrera Sr.

Armando is survived by his wife Tanya Barrera; mother Angie Barrera; daughters Elida Barrera and Elena Barrera; sons Ismael Barrera and Anthony Barrera; sisters Norma Alvarez and husband Ben, Marta Lerma and husband Johnny, Lisa Barrera, and Cindy Barrera; grandchildren Aniyah Barrera, Analiyah Barrera, and Ava Alaniz.

A visitation will be held from 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM Tuesday, January 28, 2025 at Scott Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 9:30 AM Wednesday, January 29, 2025 at Scott Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Confederate Cemetery.
