In Loving Memory of Arlene Adams

December 8, 1942 – July 14, 2025

Arlene Adams, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on July 13 at the age of 82.

She was born on December 8, 1942, in Lejunior, Kentucky, to Lowell Stacy and Lodas Messer. She graduated from Franklin High School in May 1960, a milestone that marked the beginning of a life filled with quiet strength, deep compassion, and unwavering devotion to her family.

She has resided in Alvin, Texas for more than 50 years building a life rooted in love, generosity, and resilience. Known for her kind heart and selfless spirit, she was the kind of person who would give freely of herself to help others. She has touched countless lives with her gentle nature and open arms.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Willie "Bill" Adams; her sister, Joyce; her brother, Ben Stacy; and her parents, Lodas Messer and Lowell Stacy.

She is survived by her children: Missy Adams; Willie Adams and his spouse, Tammy; and Angela (Angel) Adams-Gruetzmacher; her grandchildren: Anthony Gruetzmacher, Amanda Settell and her spouse, John; her great-grandchildren: Emma and Noah Gruetzmacher; her sister, Brenda Johnson; and her brother, L.E. Stacy.

She loved animals, and the beauty of nature. Her passion for life extended to the simplest joys. She was fiercely loyal and endlessly devoted to her family, always placing their needs above her own. Through every season of her life, she met the world with strength and grace.

A graveside service will be held at Mustang Lutheran Cemetery in Alvin, Texas, Saturday, July 19, 2025 at 9:00 AM.
