Antonio Escamilla Tovar, age 52 of Alvin, Texas, passed away Saturday, December 28, 2024, at Ben Taub Hospital in Houston, Texas.  Antonio was born October 11, 1972, in Reynosa, Mexico and had been a resident of Alvin for the last 29 years. He owned and operated Antonio's Landscaping and Tree Service and attended St. John The Baptist Catholic Church in Alvin.

Antonio is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Rosa Martha Soto; daughters, Rosa Alonzo and husband Johnathan, Adriana Cristal Rodriguez and Melaine Escamilla; parents, Nazario Escamilla and Maria Del Rosario Tovar; sisters, Norma Morantes, Maria Guadalupe Escamilla and Alma Pinon; brother, Javier Escamilla; grandchildren, Aaliyah, Omar, Kian, Tania, Anthony and Cristian; along with numerous extended family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM Thursday, January 2, 2025, at Scott Funeral Home with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM. A funeral mass will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, January 3, 2025, at St. John The Baptist Catholic Church in Alvin. Interment will follow at Confederate Cemetery in Alvin.
