Annette Williams, age 88, of Alvin, Texas, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 11, 2026.

Born on November 21, 1937, in Alvin, Texas, Annette spent her entire life in the community she loved. Raised on her family's dairy farm, she developed the strong work ethic, kindness, and deep appreciation for family that would define her throughout her life. She was a devoted homemaker and bookkeeper, a faithful Presbyterian, and a lifelong servant to both her church and her community.

For many years, Annette taught Presbyterian Sunday School, sharing her faith and love with generations of children. She was patriotic and civic-minded and believed deeply in serving her community, dedicating many years as a precinct judge for local elections. Whether through her church, civic involvement, or simply lending a helping hand, Annette was known for her generous heart, unwavering faith, and willingness to care for others.

Family was the center of Annette's life. She cherished every opportunity to bring loved ones together and was often the heart behind family gatherings and celebrations. A devoted sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend, she created lasting memories through her warmth, hospitality, and unconditional love. She also enjoyed traveling and treasured the adventures and experiences she shared with family and friends throughout her life.

Annette was preceded in death by her beloved husband, E.J. "Jerry" Williams; her son, Mark Williams; her parents, Ed and Zella Winston; and her brothers, Alan Winston and Henry Winston.

She is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Jeri Ann Stanton, and her husband, Neal Stanton; her grandson, Neal Stanton Jr., and his wife, Michelle Stanton; her great-granddaughter, Laine Stanton; her grandson, Cade Stanton; her granddaughter, Claire Stanton; her sister, Alice Winston Goyen; her brother-in-law, Horace Mann Williams; her sister-in-law, Barbara Ann Henry; and many cherished nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever treasure her love, guidance, and generosity.

Annette's legacy is one of faith, compassion, service, and unwavering devotion to her family. Her feisty spirit, caring heart, and steadfast commitment to those she loved will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her. She leaves behind a lifetime of treasured memories and a family forever strengthened by her example.

A memorial visitation will be held on Friday, July 17, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Scott Funeral Home, with a memorial service beginning at 3:00 p.m. conducted by Deacon Allen Stanton.
