Angel Mario Salas Sr., age 73 of Alvin, Texas passed away on Wednesday, April 27, 2022 at HCA Clear Lake Hospital in Webster, Texas. Angel was born August 3, 1948 in Cadereyta, Mexico and was a resident of Alvin for 48 years.  He worked as a truck driver for many years and was a member of St. John The Baptist Catholic Church in Alvin. Angel is preceded in death by his parents, Aaron and Amalia Salas; sisters, Guadalupe Salas, Angelica Gonzalez and Maria Elena Morin; brothers, Federico Salas and Gerardo Salas.

Angel is survived by his loving wife, Aurora Salas; daughters, Blanca Navarro and husband Rene, Sandra Vargas and husband Omar; sons, Angel Salas Jr. and wife Elizabeth, Julio Cesar Salas and wife Melissa; sister, Irma Salas; brother, Roman Salas; 17 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren; along with numerous other relatives and friends.

A Visitation will be held Friday, April 29, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Scott Funeral Home with a Rosary starting at 7:00 PM. A Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, April 30, 2022 at 11:00 AM at St. John's Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Oak Park Cemetery in Alvin.
