Andres Chapa Sr., age 100 of Alvin, Texas, passed away Thursday, February 13, 2025 at his home.  Andres was born November 10, 1924 in Luling, Texas and had been a resident of Alvin for 74 years. He worked for Bay Area Concrete in Santa Fe and will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Andres is preceded in death by his wife of 36 years, Guadalupe Chapa; parents, Teodoro and Teodora Chapa; sister, Rafaela Garza; brothers, Benancio Chapa, Jesus Chapa, Lorretto Chapa and Benito Chapa; grandchildren, Tony Chapa and Andrew Chapa.

Andres is survived by his daughters, Herminia Chapa, Jesusa Baird and husband Larry, Alice Owen and husband Steven; sons, Santos Chapa and wife Evelyn, Andres Chapa Jr. and wife Florence; grandchildren, Adam Chapa, Steve Garcia, Jesusa Magana, Aaron Ruiz, Ciara Ruiz and Alissa Geoffrion; great grandchildren, Arielle Ruiz, Chloe Geoffrion, Isaiah Garcia, Ezekiel Garcia, Vanessa Magana, Monica Magana, Anna Magana and Isabella Magana; along with numerous extended family and friends.

Your hard work, dedication and willingness to lend a hand do not go unnoticed. Whether offering support, guidance, or simply being there when needed, you make a world of difference. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM Monday, February 17, 2025 at Scott Funeral Home with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, February 18, 2025 at Scott Funeral Home with interment to follow at Oak Park Cemetery in Alvin.
