America Llamas, age 55 of Alvin, Texas, passed away Friday, October 27, 2023 at her home. America was born May 2, 1968 in Reynosa, Mexico and was a longtime resident of Alvin. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend. America attended St. John The Baptist Catholic Church in Alvin and will be dearly missed by all that knew her. She is preceded in death by her husband, Juan Llamas; parents, Jose Soto and Esperanza Carbajal; brothers, Jose Soto and Heraclio Soto.

America is survived by her loving daughters, Laura Llamas, Monica Llamas, Lucero Llamas, Daniela Orozco and Celeste Llamas; sisters, Victoria Soto, Carmen Llamas, Antonia Soto, Bertha Soto and Guillermina Soto; brothers, Carlos Soto and Ricardo Soto; grandchildren, Angela, Giselle, Alonso, Aileen, Larissa, Marilyn, Sophia, Manuel, Fernando, Lucia, Juan and baby Molina; along with numerous extended family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM Thursday, November 2, 2023 at Scott Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, November 3, 2023 at St. John The Baptist Catholic Church.
