Albert Homer Haines, Jr. was born 1/1/1932 in Baltimore, MD. and passed away peacefully at his home in Texas 2/17/2023 surrounded by family.

He was preceded in death by his parents Albert Homer Haines, Sr and Margaret Atkinson Haines and his wife Tery Tania Chapman Haines.

Al is survived by his sister Nancy Jasen, his brother, Richard Haines,   Evelyn and Roy Chapman, a cousin Edith Schlossenberg  and many nieces and nephews and close friends.

For many years Al was a member of the Baltimore Drum and Bugle Corp.  Al served in the Korean War as an army Sgt. and was awarded a purple heart. Al had a 22year career in the Hialeah Fire Dept. and Rescue.  He retired to Mossy Head, Florida and then Texas.

Al and his wife, Tania enjoyed boating, fishing and Al had a hobby of all things trains.  He was also a civil war buff and visited many of those sites. In later years he enjoyed Thanksgiving in Georgia and Christmas in Texas with family.

Services will be private and donations in his memory may be made to the City of Hialeah Fire Dept. 85 E 5 St.  Hialeah, FL 33019
