It is with deep heartbreak and much love that we mourn the passing of Adriel DePaul Godwin, of Texas City on Thursday, November 18, 2021, at the age of 22 years. Adriel was born on October 12, 1999 in Houston, Texas. Adriel's life motto was "family over everything" and he carried that thought out his day to day life. He was a true example of being his brothers' keeper. He loved cooking with his dad and brothers and always made sure no one was hungry. He loved to laugh and got great joy from making his brothers laugh as much as possible. Adriel was extremely knowledgeable when it came to history and geography and would quiz his family often. He loved watching football on the weekends and was a New Orleans Saints fan. Adriel was a beautiful soul who will be missed beyond measure by his parents, brothers, family, and friends.

He is survived by his parents, Josue and Nickie Godwin. His brothers Marcus, D'Angelo, D'Andre, Elijah, Cameron, and Roman. His grandparents Silvestre and Enedina Rodriguez of Alvin. Grandmother Maria Victoria Godwin of Texas City. Aunt Melanie Garcia (Edward), Mayanin Longoria (Benito), Natalie Sanchez (Jose), and Saraí Godwin.  Uncles Marcus Rodriguez and Gadiel Godwin. Cousins, Adriana, Michael, Raquel, Aeriana, Jose (JoJo), Aiden, Gavin, Anaya, Azalea, and David (Ocean).

A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, November 27, 2021 from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M., followed by services at 12:00 P.M. at Scott Funeral Home.
