Jerry Guyton

U.S. Veteran

Jerry Guyton, age 66 of Santa Fe, Texas passed away Friday, March 1, 2013 at St. Luke’s Episcopal Hospital, Houston, Texas. Jerry was born on November 22, 1946 in Galveston, Texas. He graduated from Sam Houston State University and was raised in the Assembly of God Church. Jerry proudly served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam Conflict. He was preceded in death by his father, Jim Guyton and step-father, Charles “Pop” Godman.

Jerry is survived by his mother, Helen Godman, daughter, Cathy Bilbrey and husband, Shane, sister, Jean Sutton and husband, Bill, 3 brothers, Jim “J.R.” Guyton and wife, Myrtle, Roland Guyton and wife, Cathy, Roger Guyton and wife, Bobbie, 3 grandchildren, Caitlyn, Madison and Zachary Bilbrey, ex-wife, Gerri Guyton along with numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

A Memorial Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M.-6:30 P.M. on Wednesday, March 6, 2013 with a Memorial Service beginning at 6:30 P.M. at Scott Funeral Home. Interment of ashes will take place at the Houston National Cemetery at a later date.
