Harry R. Cupples, age 86 of Manvel, Texas passed away Sunday, February 24, 2013 at Autumn Leaves, Pearland, Texas. Harry was born on February 15, 1927 in Williams, Louisiana and was a resident of Manvel for 4 years, formerly of Sargent, Texas. He served in the United States Army during World War II. Harry worked as a pharmacist and owned and operated the Studewood Pharmacy in the Houston Heights area. He was a member of the Methodist faith and the V.F.W. Post # 2412 in Sargent, Texas. Harry was preceded in death by his, father, Fred R. Cupples, mother Caroline Randall, brothers, Sidney Cupples and Fred Cupples.
Harry is survived by his daughters, Carol Latimer and husband, Douglas, Cheri (Bridget) Ellis, Colette Tompkins and husband, Les, Pat Eggler and husband, Jim, son, Robert E. Cupples and wife, Susan, sisters, Caroline Kester, Margaret Yates, 13 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, numerous friends in Sargent, Texas and numerous other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers the family request that memorials be made in Harry’s honor to any local animal shelter.
A Memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, March 1, 2013 at Grace United Methodist Church, 18218 Hwy 6, Manvel, Texas (281) 489-9083.
